Agent Skills

Agent Skills for deploying, operating, troubleshooting, and managing Pyrite Cloud from AI coding assistants.

What are Agent Skills?

Agent Skills are an open format for extending AI coding assistants with specialized knowledge and workflows. Each skill uses a SKILL.md file containing metadata and instructions that an agent loads when relevant to your request.

For example, when you ask an agent to deploy an application, troubleshoot a service, or optimize resources, it can automatically select the appropriate Pyrite skill.

Supported tools

Pyrite Agent Skills can be installed into compatible AI coding assistants including:

  • Claude Code
  • OpenAI Codex
  • Cursor
  • OpenCode
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Other Agent Skills-compatible clients

Installation

Install the Pyrite Cloud skills using the skills CLI:

npx skills add PyriteCloud/agent-skills

The installer detects supported AI agents and installs the skills into the appropriate location.

To update installed skills:

npx skills update

You can also install an individual skill:

npx skills add https://github.com/PyriteCloud/agent-skills --skill pyrite-service-management

Pyrite Cloud Skills

The repository currently includes eight skills:

pyrite-platform-knowledge

Explains Pyrite Cloud concepts, capabilities, resource relationships, service types, environments, deployments, networking, storage, databases, plans, and regions.

pyrite-service-management

Deploys and manages Pyrite services, environments, deployments, domains, networking, databases, storage, scaling, and lifecycle operations.

pyrite-observe-service

Inspects logs, metrics, health, replicas, deployments, regional behavior, and performance without modifying resources.

pyrite-troubleshoot

Diagnoses failed or degraded services, including build failures, crashes, health issues, routing problems, resource pressure, database or storage failures, and deployment regressions.

pyrite-optimize-resources

Helps right-size services and optimize cost, performance, scaling, regional placement, availability, and resource utilization.

pyrite-cli-commands

Generates and explains commands supported by the Pyrite CLI, including installation, authentication, resource lookup, deployment, and Docker workflows.

pyrite-deployment-automation

Creates and reviews deployment automation using pyrite.toml, Terraform, GitHub Actions, the Pyrite CLI, and CI/CD pipelines.

pyrite-migrate

Plans and executes migrations from other platforms to Pyrite Cloud, including workload mapping, databases, volumes, networking, domains, validation, cutover, and rollback.

Workflow Coverage

Together, the Pyrite skills cover:

  • Platform knowledge — Understand Pyrite resources, services, environments, regions, plans, and capabilities.
  • Deploy and operate — Create, configure, deploy, redeploy, pause, resume, and safely modify services.
  • Observability — Inspect logs, metrics, health, deployments, replicas, and service behavior.
  • Troubleshooting — Diagnose build, runtime, networking, storage, scaling, and availability problems.
  • Optimization — Improve cost, performance, capacity, scaling, and availability.
  • CLI — Generate verified Pyrite CLI commands and workflows.
  • Automation — Work with pyrite.toml, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.
  • Migration — Move applications and infrastructure to Pyrite Cloud with staged validation and rollback planning.
